What is Textual.tv?

Textual.tv is a service which allows you to send text messages a week to any number within your country except premium rate numbers and shortcodes. You can send texts immediately or schedule them for later. Unused web texts cannot be carried over to the next week.

How do I set up a contact?

Every time you send an SMS to a new mobile number you will be asked if you wish to save it. Doing so will add it to your list of contacts. This in effect means that you will no longer have to type the mobile number of that contact again, instead simply selecting their name from the drop-down menu. To set-up a new contact simply enter the name and mobile number of your new contact into the respective fields on the Contacts Page. When you are happy that the correct details have been entered, click on the add button. Your new contact will now be visible in your contacts list.

How do I edit a contact?

To edit a contact, click on the Contacts tab. Then click on the name of the contact which you wish to edit. This will populate the box below, where you can type in a new name or number as required. Click the save button to save your changes.

How do I set up a new group?

A group is a group of contacts, so to create a group, you must first have some existing contacts. Once this is the case, click on the groups button. You will then be asked if you wish to save them as a group. You can also go to the Groups link to create a new group. Under Groups you can enter the name and nickname of the group and click on create. The nickname can be up to six characters in length. You will automatically be brought to another page where you are shown a list of the contacts who can be added to the group. Once you have chosen the number of contacts you require, click on the create button. You must have a least two contacts in a group and there is a maximum of 125.

How do I edit a group?

To edit a group click on the Groups tab. Click the 'Edit Members' icon beside the group you wish to edit. This will allow you to delete or add members to the group. If you wish to edit the name of a group, simply click on the group name and edit it in the box below. You can then type in a new name or nickname for the group if you wish.

How do I send an SMS message to a group?

From the web, you can set up a maximum of 125 groups. Once a group has been created, you can send the group an SMS message by entering the text you wish to send in the box provided, choosing the group you wish to send the message to and then clicking on the send button.

How do I schedule a message?

You can schedule a message for sending at a later time by clicking the 'Schedule for later' rather than 'Send' tab. Enter the date and time when you wish to send the message. You can also specify if you wish to send the message more than once by changing the 'Frequency'. Once you click on Finish, your scheduled message will be saved.

How do I edit a scheduled message?

You can edit your saved scheduled messages by clicking 'Message Schedule' tab. By clicking on the message, you can then change the text or timing of the message. Use the 'Edit Recipients' button to change who you are sending the message to. If you have changed your mind, you can even delete the message entirely.

While textual.tv will make every effort to ensure your web text message is sent, we cannot guarantee successful delivery. Any text allocation is deducted when you send a text message, not when it is delivered.

You are allocated web text messages to be sent via your PC only each week. Unused web texts can not be carried over to the next week.

Textual.tv cannot guarantee message confidentiality and disclaims all responsibility for unauthorised access to text messages or loss of information.

Registered users must not use the service to send messages that may cause offence, injury or anxiety to any person or for any improper, illegal, immoral, obscene or defamatory purpose. You are solely responsible for all of the messages you send and acknowledge that this service acts as a passive conduit for the transmission of your messages

Users should not send text messages to premium rate numbers and shortcodes. You should ensure you are sending a message to a valid number. If you use textual.tv to send a message to premium rate numbers, shortcodes or to invalid numbers, the message will not be delivered and you may be charged and your allocation reduced.

Textual.tv reserves the right to amend or withdraw the SMS subscription service at any time.

Changes to terms and records of agreements

Textual.tv reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time by posting changes on the website. Your continued use of the website after any such change will be deemed acceptance of the changed terms and conditions.
